Scope: This Policy applies to the website grpcnode.com and related forms (the "Site"). By using the Site, you accept this Policy.
Applicable law: Cayman Islands Data Protection Act (2021 Revision). Where relevant based on your location or services used, we also consider GDPR and other mandatory laws.
Data we process: (a) Identification and contact (name, email, country/language, organization); (b) Communication preferences and marketing; (c) Technical data (IP address, device identifiers, logs, browser/OS, pages visited, time on page, referrers/UTM, cookies); (d) Interaction data (forms, surveys, referrals, campaigns); (e) Third-party security/anti-abuse, analytics, email and cloud providers.
Purposes and legal bases: (1) Manage waitlist, requests and communications: pre-contract or contract; legitimate interest in operating the service. (2) Send marketing or product updates: consent; withdraw anytime. (3) Analytics, security, fraud/abuse prevention and Site improvement: legitimate interest and, where required, consent for cookies. (4) Comply with legal obligations and respond to authorities: legal obligation. (5) Referral programs and incentives: contract performance and legitimate interest.
Cookies and similar tech: We use essential, preference, analytics and security cookies (including captcha). Where required, we will ask for consent before non-essential cookies. You can block/delete cookies in your browser; doing so may affect Site functionality.
Retention: We keep personal data while we have a relationship with you and for the time needed to meet legal obligations. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent or object; then we will block it to avoid further emails. Technical logs are stored for limited periods proportionate to security and audit needs.
Sharing: We share data with processors providing hosting, email, analytics, security (captcha), databases and support, under written agreements and appropriate safeguards. We may disclose data to authorities when legally required, or in corporate transactions (merger/acquisition) with suitable protections and notice when appropriate.
International transfers: Data may be transferred from the Cayman Islands to other countries. We implement appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, transfer impact assessments and supplementary security measures. Where a provider is in a non-adequate country, we ensure contractual and technical safeguards.
Security: We implement technical and organizational measures to protect data against destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. No system is 100% secure; we will notify significant incidents as required by law.
Your rights: Under the Cayman Islands DPA (and when applicable, GDPR), you may exercise access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection (including to direct marketing), and the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing with legal or similarly significant effects. Children: The Site is not directed to children under 16. If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child provided data, contact us to delete it.
Automated decisions: We may use automated systems for fraud/abuse detection and non-intrusive marketing segmentation. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing without human involvement.
Changes: We may update this Policy; we will post the new version with the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated in a prominent way.
